Russia’s Avtotor to raise car output 15% to 233,000 cars in 2019

KALININGRAD, Jul 25 (PRIME) -- Russian carmaker Avtotor plans to raise production by about 15% on the year to 233,000 vehicles in 2019, Senior Vice President Vladimir Krivchenko told reporters on Thursday.

“The plant produced 127,000 cars as of today. We produce 16,000–18,000 cars per month on average. In general, we expect production growth to amount to 15% this year as compared with 2018,” he said, pointing out that Avtotor produced 203,000 cars last year.

The company may raise the production plan even more if the customer orders more Kia and Hyundai cars, he said.
